ECOCRETO®
IT´S THE ONLY ECOLOGICAL PAVEMENT OF CONCRETE
1.
What
is the ECOCRETO®?
The
ECOCRETO® is a similar material
to the hydraulic concrete made of stony attaches,
water, cement and chemical agglutinants (additive
ECOCRETO®) that form a product
moldable, easy to strain, permeable 100% and with
great resistance to the compression and flexion
that after some hours solidifies and be strained
to use as floors and permeable pavements.
2.
How
is the applied ECOCRETO®?
The
permeable concrete ECOCRETO® is applied the
same as some concrete, it mixes in spinning top
or mixer machine , the mixture is strained, it’s
distributed with rakes, it levels with a rule, it
compression vibrates with a vibrant badge and covers
with plastic during three days. One can also request
in pieces prefabrication in shape of paving stones
that they put the same as the adocretos.
3.
How
are the base and the sub base?
The
base to install a pavement of ECOCRETO®
It makes to compact the land, digging wells of absorption
and applying a layer or gravel base without sand
of 3/4" up to 3" vibrate compression on
this is strained the final carpet of ECOCRETO®.
4.
How
so much it filters?
The
ECOCRETO® is a permeable product
100 % to the water and the liquids in general.
5.
What
duration does have?
Under
normal conditions and according to laboratory tests
it doesn't have any problem after 10 years of life.
It’s necessary to remember that finally it’s
a concrete and it’s as durable as this. There
are pavements with 7 year old they are in excellent
state and continue filtering water.
6.
Can
it cover with the garbage?
It
could happen, the accumulation of fine powder would
end up covering it, for any floor should be cleaned;
the powder of the environment half-wash it with
the same rain water, in fact a good rain to clean
it and uncovers. But the garbage of big size, of
0.03 cm can’t pass by the pore of the material
for what the cleaning work of streets is facilitated
and the problem of cover up drainages for accumulation
of garbage is solved . There are accidents that
if could cover the surface of ECOCRETO®,
like a spill of concrete.
7.
What
presentations does it have?
Several
colors, depending on the use of gray or white cement
and of pigment that is applied. Different textures
according to the stony attaches, 3 to 8 mm of diameter.
It’s possible to produce it in paving stone
in several thickness or simply to be applied as
a strained of concrete. The ECOCRETO®
resins bases will be with the natural aspect of
the stone used with a varnish type.

How
does it settle?
On
any level surface some wells of absorption of 1m
of depth are dug that are stuffed with gravel, later
a gravel base is applied from 5 to 15 cm of thickness
and on this the final carpet of ECOCRETO®
is applied. The carpet covers during three days
with plastic to improve its hardening. In the case
of finding very firm lands or waterproof, it’s
recommended to make deeper wells of absorption to
accelerate the process of drain of the water.
9.
How
long of installation does require?
Depending
on the area to cover will be the used time, however
it has value that in one day of 8 hours with the
prepared land, two gangs place 250 m2 preparing
the mixture with spinning tops. If the mixture is
provided with mixer machine of 4 m3 and the same
two gangs are used, you advances up to 700 m2 for
day. If it’s applied with a finisher machine,
they will cover up to 1,200 m2 for day.
10.
What
resistance does have?
The
laboratory tests demonstrated at the 24 hours is
obtained a resistance to compression of 150 Kg/cm2.
After 4 days almost arrives to resistance design
that is of 250 Kg/cm2. The resistance can rise manipulating
the dosage of the additive and the cement until
for 350 Kg/cm2.
It
is important to stand out that who should resist
the compression it is the land and the base where
leans the ECOCRETO®, since
the load is transmitted toward the underground,
but the ECOCRETO® is a granular material the
loads break down and originate that the load arrives
to the land is of hardly some grams distributed
in a big area as the size of strained flagstone.
11.
Is
it necessary to lift the asphalt carpet of a street
or a previous pavement to install it?
Not
always, for the streets already existent of asphalt
or concrete a reception system has been designed
by means of parallel longitudinal fringes to the
garnish of wide of 0.60m that are digging and covering
with ECOCRETO® with thickness
of pavement ECOCRETO® of 8
to 10 cm. this way the natural pumping of the streets
that prosecutes the rain water to the banks takes
advantage and infiltrates for the ECOCRETO®.

of each 40m is enough to prosecute 70% from the
rain water to the underground, depending to the
resistance and capacity of the land.
The

ECOCRETO®.
12.
Which
other uses does have?
Basically
it’s a material designed for the construction
of pavements in order to make them permeable and
allow the recharge of the aquifer mantels of the
underground. Also it completes satisfactorily as
strainer, since the rain water that saturates the
systems of drainage of the cities instead of leaving
to the pipes it will be channelling to the underground
and with the advantage that it doesn't allow the
pass of the garbage.
You
can also use like pavement in surfaces that have
objective to gather water and channelling to underground
deposits or like pavement for very sheer areas because
ECOCRETO® has a very accented
texture. You can also use for the production of
paving stones and for the strained of contention
walls for that the hydrostatic load of the water
becomes zero.
13.
Do
they attack it the solvents, gasoline, Diesel, etc.?
Not
the materials of common use, however the concentrated
acids couch to degrade of the same way to any concrete
or asphalt pavement.
14.
Are
the matters for the permeable concrete easy to get?
Yes,
they are. Because they are material of relative
easy acquisition in the industry of the construction
like the cement and the water and It possible to
use a characteristic material of each region to
make the mixture. The additive is given directly
of Ecocreto Internacional.
15.
Is
it possible for other people to install ECOCRETO®
in their cities?
Yes.
If any City there isn’t an authorized distributor
of ECOCRETO®, The interested
people will take a theoretical and practical course
first.
The
first applications of the product are carried out
with personal of International Ecocreto to show
the manufacturers the appropriate use of the permeable
concrete. In some states of the Mexican Republic
they already exist authorized distributors of ECOCRETO®.
16.
What
advantages does it present against similar products?
In
fact, in local and international level, doesn't
exist any product with the permeability characteristics,
aspect and resistance, the most similar would be
the adopasto and the stone "recynto".
The
problem with the adopasto that is also permeable,
It’s annoyance of walking on it, it fills
with garbage very easily, it’s difficult to
clean that when retaining organic material into
interior, give off unpleasant smell of rot. To the
pass of the time their surface is easily deformable
and you can’t use like floor of walkways or
vehicular stream.
In
the case of the stone called recynto, it’s
extremely expensive and difficult to obtain and
install.
17.
Are
there another similar material?
The
only reference that we have found, it’s of
a granular floor in Germany that is made of mixture
of epoxy resins that it’s used in parking,
it’s similar to the adopasto with the less
open pore. There are two companies that manufacture
a similar material to the ECOCRETO®,
but of very low resistance and it doesn't support
the traffic of automobiles.

Can
you get the product in any place of the world?
Yes,
in fact the patent is international to be able to
provide it in countries with similar problems of
recharge of aquifer mantels and absorption of water.
At the moment already it’s exported to United
States of America.
19.
How
expensive is the ECOCRETO®?
It’s
in 15% more expensive than the asphalt and more
economic than some other materials used up in floors
like the adopasto or the adocreto, but it’s
very important to take into account that it’s
more durable that the asphalt (that only lasted
two years) or that the adocretos.
Compared
with the pavements of hydraulic concrete, the ECOCRETO®
is cheaper.
20.
What
justification does it exist for the high price?
The
duration of a pavement of ECOCRETO®
is more superior than an asphalt pavement or adocreto,
its maintenance is almost null and its aspect is
very pleasant. This makes that an investment that
of entrance is superior , in the time is inferior,
since the maintenance of the asphalt is expensive
and constant and duration is very short. Otherwise
the fact of the real benefit that is achieved for
the environment when using pavements of ECOCRETO®
for the important quantity of water that infiltrates
to the underground.
For
the case of the managers dedicated to the development
of residence groups, when using the ECOCRETO®
like permeable area 100% makes them possible to
diminish the green areas of donation for permeable
circulations and this way to increase the construction
area and obtain better benefits.
21.
What
happen when is the ECOCRETO® covered by accumulation
of garbage?
In
case of the pass of water was obstructed by effect
of the accumulated powder it can wash itself with
a washing pressure machine of water (Karcher type),
since the pore is sufficiently big thing. In some
cases with a normal hose that exercises the enough
force with the water is uncovered. In season of
rains, a good shower washes it and it uncovers.
In
case it was covered completely due to a spill of
concrete or another material, it can get up, to
return to mill and reutilize like stony attaché.
It’s recyclable.

23.
What
happen with the bases and sub-bases when infiltrating
water?
The
bases that are used for a pavement of ECOCRETO®
are not similar to that a normal or traditional
pavement of concrete or asphalt. The traditional
bases would be destroyed by the haulage. But the
bases of the ECOCRETO® don't
use fine, they are only made with gravel, the gravel
isn’t deformed with the entrance of water
and helps to distribute the loads and efforts.
In
some cases we also use meshes textile geo to improve
the conditions of the lands, but this is studied
in each case.
24.
What
guarantee is given in a pavement of ECOCRETO®?
A
guarantee of one year is granted against some defect
of production. No pavement gives guarantee of anything,
the guarantee ECOCRETO® is
completed repairing some defect without cost.
